Maryland fuel prices will be at four-year high for the Labor Day weekend. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the state averaged $2.78 on Friday, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic, the highest point for the holiday since 2014. Gas prices across the state are 39 cents higher than this time last year, when Labor Day fuel prices spiked as a result of Hurricane Harvey. This year’s increase comes despite no hurricane activity.
