Maryland investing in 3D radar technology to identify structural issues with roads and bridges throughout the state

The idea of using ground-penetrating radar to fix roads and bridges may seem like something from science fiction, but this pioneering technology is being put to use in Maryland through a partnership between the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) and the Maryland Environmental Service (MES).
