A new Yelp index measures Greater Baltimore's business, consumer activity — and the region comes up short

A new index created by Yelp shows Baltimore and the country as a whole experienced a drop in business health and consumer interest in the fourth quarter of 2018. The new measurement foreshadows the possibility of a recession in the U.S., the reviews website said, and show how Greater Baltimore failed to measure up to the economic strength of most other cities at the end of 2018.
