Medifast President Meg Sheetz is leaving the company

Margaret “Meg” Sheetz is leaving the Owings Mills-based weight-loss company long led by her family less than a year after being removed from its board of directors at the behest of an activist investor. Sheetz, the president and chief operating officer at Owings Mills-based Medifast Inc. (NYSE: MED), will leave the company April 8, according to a federal filing Tuesday.
