McCormick & Co. Inc. reported declines in profit and sales in the first quarter due to “extraordinary disruption” in China related to the COVID-19 outbreak that offset the spice maker’s growth. The Hunt Valley-based spice maker’s profit of $145.7 million, or $1.08 per share, was down 2.8% from $149.6 million, or $1.12 per share in the year-ago quarter.
