Port of Baltimore awarded $1.5M for project to help it handle more big container ships

The Maryland Port Administration has been awarded $1.5 million from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help move forward with a project that will enable the Port of Baltimore to handle multiple big ships simultaneously. The money will fund a new study to assess potential navigation improvements, like deepening or widening, for channels serving the Seagirt Marine Terminal.
