Why is school redistricting a big deal in Howard County? Just look at the county's 2019 SAT scores.

Students across Howard County’s 12 high schools collectively scored a mean SAT total of 1202 this year — down four points from last year’s score. The just-released scores show students in the county continue to perform at a high level compared to state and national averages. In 2018, Maryland students who took the test earned a mean score of 1080, and nationally students had a mean score of 1068.
