The Sears department store at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg is the latest to announce it will close up shop there. Sears Holdings Corp. confirmed to Bethesda Magazine it would close the store by December and that liquidation sales there would begin later this month. The company has not yet filed a work adjustment and retraining notification (WARN) notice with the state of Maryland, according to the Maryland Department of Labor’s website.
