Johns Hopkins cancer diagnostics spinoff appoints industry veteran as CEO

Thrive Earlier Detection Corp., a cancer diagnostics startup that spun out of Johns Hopkins this year with $110 million in funding, has appointed a health care industry veteran as its new CEO. David J. Daly will take over the helm at Thrive, and become a board member on Aug. 19. He will succeed interim CEO, Steven J. Kafka, a partner at Thrive’s lead investor Third Rock Ventures.
