A local real estate broker said he has denied the federal government’s request to help locate space that could house migrant children — and urged 300 of his colleagues to do the same. Stephen J. Ferrandi said federal subcontractor Habib Konate contacted him June 15 to ask if he could help identify a Maryland property “for kids coming across the border” that could house up to 150 children.
