UMMS, Dimensions get state OK for new hospital in Prince George's County

A state-of-the-art teaching hospital led by the University of Maryland Medical System will be built at Largo Town Center after state regulators approved the long-awaited project on Thursday. That hospital will replace the floundering Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly and is part of a larger redevelopment plan that supporters say will transform health care for residents and revitalize nearby business.
