Port of Baltimore general cargo slips despite container record in 2015

The Port of Baltimore saw a slight drop in general cargo in 2015 despite notching records in containers and automobile imports. Port workers loaded and unloaded about 9.6 million tons of general cargo in 2015, officials said Wednesday. That’s down incrementally from 9.7 million tons last year, when the port set a new high-water mark.
