An urban farm capable of producing 50,000 heads of lettuce a year — as well as tomatoes, peppers and other produce — will break ground this month at Sandlot, Beatty Development officials said Tuesday. The beachfront bar in Harbor Point will host two hoop houses and a hydroponic greens-growing unit when it opens for the summer May 5.
