Anne Arundel Medical Center will move forward with plans to build a new $25 million, 56,000-square-foot psychiatric hospital, following an in-favor vote from the Maryland Health Care Commission Thursday. Anne Arundel Medical Center filed a certificate of need with the commission in March 2016, seeking approval for its plans to construct a 16-bed medical center to provide mental health treatment.
