A new rendering has been released of a new apartment project going up at the site of the former Haussner’s Restaurant site in Highlandtown. Developer Peter Z. Garver is a few months in to his redevelopment of the site into a 65-unit building at 3244 Eastern Ave. The legendary restaurant closed its doors in 1999, ending a multi-generational affinity for its homemade pies and German fare served in a dining room lined with original art.
