Johns Hopkins Medicine opened a new center last month dedicated to reducing incidents of misdiagnosis. The Armstrong Institute Center for Diagnostic Excellence was created through a $5 million gift from C. Michael Armstrong, former Hopkins Medicine chairman, who also provided funding for the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality over five years ago.
