A speculative 169,000-square-foot warehouse broke ground in southeast Baltimore last month as part of an expansion of the Chesapeake Commerce Center off Broening Highway. Duke Realty Corp. owns and is developing the project at 5900 Holabird Ave. as part of the 177-acre industrial center located on land previously home to a General Motors assembly plant.
