Howard County General Hospital is proposing $40 million construction project that would include revamping parts of its emergency room and adding 40 treatment spaces. A proposed two-story, 36,000-square-foot addition to the Columbia facility would be adjacent to the existing emergency room facing Little Patuxent Parkway and would be completed in late 2018.
