Here are the five highest-paid state employees

Paula Palladino, clinical director of the Behavioral Health Administration at the Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, is the highest-paid state employee when excluding university employees. Palladino will bring home $350,000 this year. That’s a jump from No. 1 on this List in 2014, when Paul J. Wiedefeld, executive director of the Maryland Aviation Administration, made $274,793.
