Baltimore architect sued for failing to replace employee's 401(k)

The U.S. Department of Labor is suing Baltimore architect Donald Kann for allegedly removing money from employee paychecks and failing to return it to their pension plans at all or in an untimely manner. Kann, president of architectural firm Kann Partners, is being sued for $56,065.27 in 401(k) contributions and $34,000 in lost earnings since 2009, according to a release. Through the lawsuit, the Department of Labor is looking to recover the amounts owed and remove Kann and the company as fiduciaries…
