Shock Trauma Center Gala returns this weekend after 'a long year'

The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center Gala is back after being canceled last year in the wake of the city’s unrest. The annual event, taking place April 16, honors the state’s first responders and the University of Maryland Medical Center staff who treat the most dire patients at Shock Trauma, and is the nonprofit’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
