Maryland is tops in the U.S. for job gains in March

Maryland gained nearly 20,000 jobs in March, outpacing the rest of the country and holding the state’s unemployment rate at 4.7 percent even as more workers joined the labor force. The state added 19,300 jobs between February and March of this year, according to data out Friday from the U.S. Department of Labor.
