Anne Arundel Medical Center takes next steps for new mental health hospital

Anne Arundel Medical Center is moving forward with plans for a 16-bed mental health hospital. The Anne Arundel County health system on April 13 filed a certificate of need for the facility with the Maryland Health Care Commission. The specialty hospital is part of a $17 million investment in expanding mental and behavioral health services in the area.
