Mayor touts low crime numbers to start 2018, but says there's more to be done

Mayor Catherine Pugh on Wednesday touted a drop in crime to start the year, largely crediting her violence reduction initiative, while saying there was still more work to do. Pugh, speaking at her weekly press conference, said that between Jan. 1 and Feb. 13, there had been a 35 percent drop in homicides across the city compared to the same time period last year.
