Mayor Catherine Pugh has put out a call for local businesses to get involved in the city’s annual summer youth work program, which has seen more than 5,000 registrations in the week since the online sign-up launched. YouthWorks, a 21-year-old program run by the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, puts young men and women ages 14-21 to work for five weeks starting in the last week of June.
