City design panel gets first look at Lexington Market redevelopment plans

Plans for the proposed new Lexington Market call for the building to be on a flat level as opposed to the current sloped space the historic market currently occupies. The city’s design panel, however, would like to see more of the 235-year-old market’s history come into play as the plans continue to evolve.
