Gov. Hogan to let city take control of liquor board appointments

The City Council and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will be allowed to appoint members to Baltimore’s liquor board under legislation that will pass into law without a signature from Gov. Larry Hogan. Hogan announced at a press conference Tuesday that he was letting a group of bills move forward without signing or vetoing them. That group includes SB1159, sponsored by Baltimore Democrat Sen.
