Rawlings-Blake slated to call for 1-cent tax cut in upcoming budget

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is expected to call for a penny cut in residential property taxes when she submits her 2017 budget for review next week. Current plans for the budget to be submitted would drop the rate for owner-occupied homes from $2.13 per $100 of assessed value to $2.12, a spokesman said Wednesday.
