Need proof of a craft-distilling boom? A look inside the industry

The number of craft spirits distillers across the U.S. has grown by a rate of 16 percent annually between 2007 and 2015, according to a preliminary report from the American Craft Spirits Association, the International Wine and Spirits Research and industry firm Park Street. There were at least 1,280 active craft spirits producers in 2015, according to the report. Data is still being collected for this study so we might see that number rise, a news release said.
