Sneak peek at College Park's first new full-service hotel in decades

After doing brisk apartment business in College Park for more than 20 years, building The Hotel at University of Maryland has become a no-brainer for its developer. Southern Management Corp. CEO David Hillman said he looked no further than the university itself, which books 80,000 to 90,000 room nights a year — most of which end up going outside of Prince George’s County.
